Lord, in your goodness, open our eyes to your light, and so fill our hearts with your glory that we may always acknowledge Jesus as Saviour, and hold fast to his word in sincerity and truth.

Love in a Box  Many thanks to all who came last Saturday morning to cover and pack the shoe boxes, also to those who gave items and money donations towards filling the boxes. At the moment we have 87 boxes to be collected in November.   Many thanks Jane & Lisa

ACTS Prayer Link.  All Churches Together Serving in Holmer Green are proposing a community prayer link, with people willing to pray in their homes for those who ask for prayers.  Each of the four churches (Anglican, Methodist, Catholic and Baptist) would have a coordinator who would contact those willing to ask for prayers.  There would be complete confidentiality so that we would, for instance, be asked to pray for a situation (eg pray for a lady who has X), only including a name if the person is happy for us to do so.  It is in the early stages of planning but if you would be interested in being a prayer person please contact Barbara (712236; Barbara Illingworth)

Ruth Jackson   Just a quick note to say a massive thank-you to everyone who were kind enough to support and sponsor me for my Great North Run. I am sure that the 3 charities that I was fundraising for will benefit from these monies and it will make a small difference to them.
I am pleased to say that I managed to complete the run on the 10th September in just over 2 hours 30 minutes which was not bad.
I am hoping to collect my sponsorship in as soon as possible; this is proving to be a bit tricky as unfortunately I am not able to come to Church on a Sunday morning due to First Aid duties for Joel’s rugby team. I am hoping to make it in a few weeks’ time so please bear with me.
